I'll call it a quality, although that's not it. It's almost a flavor, but not quite. Anyway, there's a quality about Chinese - and Asian, in general - food that I cannot abide. It doesn't look or taste good to me. Alternately, I'll eat just about anything Italian, Mexican or Caribbean and be pretty sure I'll like it.
