some sushi is made with cooked items like teryaki chicken and its not too bad for people that don't like traditional sushi... As for some chinese foods I agree. But my exhusbands family cooked at restaurants before and I'd had exposure to some traditional foods. I don't like some of the dishes.(frankly some chinese mushroom dishes look like they have slimy slugs in them and have a weird taste... to each their own but its just not my thing). I'll eat some of the more mellower chinese foods... (other than satay and curried chicken I tend to avoid their spicy dishes)
