... actually started with a 300 baud when he hooked up to his school's computer. I remember helping him string a phone cord across the floor that tied into a handset that stayed live while he was connected (had to stay quiet). When he was in high-school, they had an ancient machine that he manually keyed in the boot sequence on the hexidecimal keypad (from memory!) Right now, he's working for a company that is splitting in two and he gets to create the network for the split-off part almost from scratch. Sounds like LOTS of fun!
