its not located there is it? Its in both if you want to play it that way. Duh. Whilst we are at it I'll add the fact that not all ribosomes are floating around the cytoplasm either. You allude to 'bound' ribosomes and RER, the ER being - an extension of the nuclear membrane (as I'm sure you're well aware). I wouldn't go so far as to call that cytoplasmic.

Whilst Im at it, the rRNA isn't the complement of the mRNA in a ribosome, tRNA is.

I don't wish to rag on you, but if you're going to give an answer, make it as accurate as possible.
