warner brothers had never met a martian before the created marvin
later on, a group of drunken martians, on a bet, had come down to warner brother's studios and rectified this, bob warner was amazed, jack warner was awe stricken, but both decided that a radical change in their martian's voice after he had already been in a toon would be a bit of a struggle on the brain for some of their fans
so they kept the original voice, plus- this one had tested better, because when they tried both voices out on test audiances, the one that didnt make their ears bleed was marvin's and the one that did was the martian's, and they much more preferred to have non bloodied ears before the movie started
