is like water, in small amounts it in benificial to us, while in large amounts it is deadly. Both are essential to life, and both are highly leathal in large amounts. Why is there a greater fear of one, rather than the other? It takes between 200-600 rems (whole body dose) for radiation poisoning to begin, below that recovery takes a few weeks before the person can return to normal life, assuming no other complications. The chances of levels reaching that high from activity in Pakistan/India are minimal. Even if they decide to use nuclear weapons, I doubt that anyone else will start for fear over the UN nation states' reaction and their response to use of those types of weapons.
