computer names by imrambi2006-11-19 12:55:59
Well, at my school... by sailorbeavis 2002-05-13 21:00:38
We use various naming schemes for the different labs... our CS labs are patterned after chemical element names, state names, names of former Miss America winners...

In the IT department, we have StarTrek, the Wizard of Oz, as well as Star Wars (Sidious and Maul sides, then machines identified their position in the lab, rather arbitrary).

My home network uses anime character names for everything: my Windows desktop's name is Ranma, for instance, and the partitions would be named after characters: "Akane" or "Gendou" or "Panda."
