computer names by imrambi2006-11-19 12:55:59
well right now by Arienadean 2002-05-13 19:47:35
this machine as its using cable access(dhcp) has a letter/number combo assigned to it in both OS. However my username for this machine is keltic. My other machine when up will route so I'll be renaming them all. Likely this machine will be keltic, my old one kemet, another I have m18, and my kids I should rename as they complain its lame(called it "chanclan")... Keltic is interchangable with celtic. Kemet has to do with ancient egypt and m18 is an astronomy thing. :) m18 will be the 486... Kemet a cyrix 6x86 p133+, and this Athlon will be keltic. The p100 I'm not sure what to name that though I'm sure my son will come up with something. In general though I've thought of giving mine ancient place names, astronomy related, or words from old languages.<shrug>

Chromatix's machines are named by their type. One is magpie, another spider, manatee(I think), dolphin, lithium, helium, and I don't remember what he named his other ones.(he's got quite a few. Athlon, p75, p166, 2 - 486's, 5300, 8100, quadra, g3 powerbook, and his moms g3 desktop sitting there.)
