Regulation - on our terms or theirs? by Schol-R-LEA;2 2006-11-19 12:55:59
In the 'Bit Association' thread in my diary, I've addressed a few more questions about the possibility of a self-regulatory body for the software industry. In particular, I tried to address some of the replies I got earlier, and added some questions about jurisdiction and internationalization.

Again, I'd like as many of the programmers and admins on this board to look at this as possible. While no one here, I think, wants to enforce bureaucratic standards on software, I feel that this issue should be addressed before the choice is taken out of our hands by the various national and local legislatures.
