Supposedly, at dawn and dusk, in exceptionally clear conditions there is a flash of green light as the sun is eclipsed by the horizon at sea. It is said to be caused by the momentary passage of sunlight through the upper levels of the ocean water. There are peole who swear to have seen it. I have also heard it dismissed as a trick of the mind and persistence of vision. Just something to consider...
