in fact, I am incorporating the old five elements thing into the book...but I don't think that I could use four swords...YET (this YET is meant to indicate that (a) I'm not done writing the book and (b) there may be a sequel). Another bonus: Earth and Sea (or Water) happen to be represented by the colors of the two pommel stones. By the way, what color represents Air, besides blue or clear? Anyone? :) Thanks for the input...I'm going to have to think about this one... Spencer
