Help, I have a nasty problem... by DocMD2002-04-28 20:16:17

what caused me freezing in past was conflicts with the soundcard, with the mouse(pre ps2 ones though), stray RF I think, memory issues, and I forget what the other thing was (but there was one more thing but its been years now<shrug>). Basically though when such has happened in the past I take it as usually hardware conflict or occasionaly drivers(I think again its been awhile since it's done it). The last times really that I've ever had to deal with freezes were either software or my roommate keying up full full(he's running max levels you can be licensed for) on a specific freq and it screws things up.(notably when I had a modem and was online) I thought about running the line through ferrite rings but didn't bother when I got cat5 and cable access...(though all my computers but this one have modems I've not used modems in quite awhile to know if it would still create an issue) I get the occasional problem still(it affects the mouse and cam) but no freeze ups.
