Help, I have a nasty problem... by DocMD 2002-04-28 20:16:17
My system has begun freezing for a brief bit, 1-3 seconds, then promptly unfreezing. It is:
1.4ghz Athlon
512MB DDR RAM
Asus Ali Series Mobo
Ati Radeon AIW 32MB AGP
Windows ME 4.90.3000
If you need more info ask...
It shouldn't be heat, the room is cool there are two case fans and of course one on the proccessor. The processor fan is certified for processors up to 1.4 or 1.5 (I can't recall which).

I'm pretty sure it's not a virus or trojan. I have a PS2 mouse and I noticed it only seems to occur while moving the cursor with it (mouse is generic, but has worked well for a while before this)... I haven't changed anything recently except to install Virtual U, a university sim that is free and seems pretty much on the up and up. Any suggestions as to possible solutions or causes?
