The DMCA is utter bollocks. How anyone can take such an insipid excuse for a law seriously is beyond me, but apparently congress did. Licensing is getting way out of hand in the software market, as that when you buy a piece of software they say that you didn't really buy it, but rather you have the right to use it on one computer of your own at a time. Now they're trying to do this with music, too. When will it end???? If any of this crap goes through it's going to give the economy a nice swift kick in the goolies and one in the temple for good measure, since consumers will not want CD's with flaws in them and such, and rip/encode capability is not only expected, but DEMANDED these days. The DMCA is already a steaming pile of excrement, we don't need more to put on top of it, rather we need a REALLY big shovel...
