...wasn't there that story that Marillion managed to get their fans online to gather money for them so they could do an album ...? Not that I want to suggest that Marillion should do the Dustpuppy/Erwin thing :-) (I'm not even sure if i spell that group correctly ...). But if I remember well they got themselves a database with people who said "Yeah, I'd buy it" and then approached those guys for 6 $ each or something like that, and the fans really paid up.
