| Unfortunately, Square's sequel to CT, Chrono Cross, mindlessly butchered the storyline set up in Chrono Trigger. Chrono Cross is a continuation of only one ending (of about 20) for Chrono Trigger, and that ending is one of the most nonsensical ones in the original game. Also, Final Fantasy Chronicles was not bad, but left some to be desired. For instance, SNES controls mapped akwardly onto the PSX/PS2 controller, and anime-style cutscenes were often inserted in akward places and were also animated a la Dragon Ball Z, with the oh-so-large foreheads and all. Very disappointing. |
