In response to the previous question, the Little Doctor (the real name was either MD device or DR device...I can't recall...) was much like the Suncrusher from the Star Wars book series, only more so. The Little Doctor transformed matter into different matter, usually some form of dirt, and was sustained until any and all matter was gone. It was used against a planet in a major battle in Ender's Game.
