I do tech support for a "living" now... it's amazing the sheer apathy to knowledge these people posess *a not-so-nice way of saying they don't read the manual and have no desire to*.

Rule #1 - No Cel Phones
Rule #2 - No Speakerphones
Rule #3 - Have your software
Rule #4 - Read the manual before calling - highlight what you have a question about
Rule #5 - LISTEN

If people just followed these, all of our lives would be much easier :|

Also, is it my imagination, or are there more retired people with bad hearing getting into computers? Being reminded that they worked on computers when they were in some branch of the military does not help 30+ years later...
