PITA question. by Avium 2002-03-28 08:51:53
Okay. Here goes. Does anyone have any idea how to link a program to the old libc5 libraries on a system based on libc6? I have a program written in C++ that uses functions that are in a library that links to libc5 that can't be moved to libc6 because I don't have the source code.

For those who want more information, my brother wrote a program that uses InterBase 4 as it's database. The InterBase 4 libs are old as IB is now up to 6. Unfortunately my brother used column names such as DATE and TIME which weren't reserved words in 4 but are in 6 so moving to 6 would be....time consuming.

Now I'm stuck trying to link to old libs to get a new utility program in place for them.
