Squirrels and chipmunks by mikosullivan2002-03-26 08:36:19
weird squirrels by Arienadean 2002-03-26 09:57:22
sometimes due to the parents being diffrent colours from eachother the squirrels do end up multi coloured. At least the ones around here. I've seen ones with a dash of white, as well as ones that are grey and black. The one that made me take a double take was the one with a mohawk. I asked a neighbour on it. They said that they had put wire mesh in their roof to keep them out of there and that particular one got caught and made quite a fuss but got free. During freeing itself it got a shave. It was like that quite awhile.

Ground squirrels are neat and sort of a little prarie dog. But I don't think their tails are ringed. I saw some in alberta and they were really cute and had an intresting taste for raisin bread. They reminded me of a wack a mole game the way they kept popping out of holes in the ground and there were a ton of the little guys.

The funniest thing though I've seen a squirrel do was dance. It probably was grooming itself(that or it had some itch). My son and I were watching it and the neighbour had just missed it. It reminded me of that golpher from caddy shack or something.
