Without hubris, we wouldn't be trying to do things like make computers think, or find a good way to solve NP-complete problems, or any number of other things that more hunble people would tell us we shouldn't be wasting our time on. Attempting to do these things also ties into Laziness and Impatience. Oh, and if you don't mind, I think I'm going to save your reasonings. :)
