tho my degree doesn't mean a whole lot to employer. Granted I ddn't really have to work that hard for it.. Associates in Compuer Science, but I didn't have to take many computer classes for it (associates, two year thing. First two years of college is nothing but prerequisites anyways).

Not that I need computer classes. I'de rather buy a piece of hardware (like an SGI Impact2 computer) for a few hundred bucks and learn how to use it through trial and error than spend 500$ on a class where you don't even get to touch one, ya know?

Kinda like having the mechanic with no certifications but has changed his own oil for 30 years change your oil, versus the ACE certified mechanic who's never even seen a filter before change it. BUT HE HAS A CERT! =P
