What on earth is the purpose of a Numlock key... by NOLAWitch2002-03-20 13:33:33
Numlock Key by Simkin 2002-03-20 14:58:28
If someone takes away my numlock keys because of this thread I will hunt you down and throw keyboards at you unti you are a lifeless shell.

I love my numlock. It's a wonderful little feature, if nothing else it's great to see if your windows is really frozen, or partly frozen (sure, you COULD use the scroll lock or caps lock key... but Num Lock is so much more fun). Oh, and it used to be used in some games, when you crashed or something it'd flash, super neat special effects!

beyond that.. I use those arrow keys all the time, and then switch back to numbers all the time too...

At home I have a calculator in my keyboard too, this is so handy, so I actually have a numlock, and a Calc/KB key.
