Small, light, reliable, easy to use, rechargable Lithium-ion battery, cool-looking aluminum case. Does everything I need it to do, and then some. You can get 'em cheap on eBay, too. I got mine, hardly used, with all the packaging and whatnot, for a mere $127 + shipping. Whatever you get, I would strongly advise against anything with a color screen. They gobble battery power like Bill Clinton gobbles Big Macs.
