At 12 and 13, my dad had bought maybe our 2nd C=64 by then. Regardless of the trouble I was in, the computer was never used as a form of punishment... at least not taken away from me. My 'punishment' used to be programming. My good ol' man would say, "Write a program that does X, and don't come out of your room until you're done." Here I sit, a Programmer / Analyst for a software company. I think I just figured out why my job often feels like a punishment!!
