Clue-by-four needed. Needless to say, it was the day of reckoning on my stupidity. On the plus side, it has made me reevaluate whether I really need most of the installed packages on that machine. I've probably saved myself about 500MB by removing Xf86, KDE et al. I think it's time I started backing up my home machines properly, instead of as and when I feel like it. Any thoughts on the best way of backing up about 100GB of storage?
