...how to innovate? You're right in almost everything in your post and I can't argue with much of it in terms of the current PC market... having said that, though, there is still a way to go in terms of current PC development. IBM has been coming up with new tech, the question is, how to get it out of the lab and onto the market.

But overall, your point still stands. The current PC market is a dead end. I think the thing to do would be to do away with the traditional PC, and perhaps design a system, or set of systems, that isn't only available to humans for use, but perhaps other species as well. This would advance zoology and animal psychology as well as allow people to customize and add onto the said systems more easily.
