is preventing them right now? It is not the government as I can gain the materials to produce an explosive, and kill quite a lot of people, easily. It is not laws that prevent me from doing so, but respect for life. The reasons for people following laws are complex - some will follow them as they are produced by an authoratative body, others do so out of peer pressure, expedience, fear, personal ethical systems, for profit, etc. But laws are not followed just because they are laws and for a great deal of people, they would not be missed if they suddenly dissappeared. If chaotic destruction were the end result of an absence of laws, where are the governing bodies for all the other animals in the world?
