Two cases that come to mind are Bosnia and Palestine. Those people have been fighting each other for millenia. Are they just going to wake up one day and say, "Why can't we all just get along?" It hasn't happened yet.

Some people do realize that constant fighting solves nothing. That is the basis for government.
