HTML question by kazper2006-11-19 12:55:59
  I tried using by DragonLady 2002-03-16 07:54:03
Gold #FFD700 which is also meant to be a "safe" colour, and still got green .... Trying various versions of yellow supposed to be "safe" I got the same result - #FFFF99 gives a pale green.
In Opera it comes out yellow on your page.
However, when I created a test page in Word with yellow text, it gave the #FFFF00 code, and it showed up as yellow in Netscape ... go figure.

Checking my O'Reilly CSS Pocket Reference, it would appear that your problem is due to a CSS inheritence problem associated with Navigator. If you use "yellow" it works in Navigator. It may not work in other browsers that do not recognise colour names.
