it just figures - i get my nifty perl program all written - debugged and documented - and the unix admin goes and tells me how to mail files as attachments from the unix system - so now i have to go back and revise that hole section - tho conceivably it will make the whole darn thing shorter since i won't have to strip out control characters or convert it into HTML for Outlook. altho doing that was good experience :)
