new technology by gary_7 2002-03-08 17:32:54
Yesterday I went to a satellite tele-conference on the subject of media and technology, and there use in the church setting. My church is hovering right on the edge of putting media and technology to use so we're trying to get an idea of what's out there and what others are doing. BTW before I forget if any ufies out there are in a church that uses media in their church, I'd be interested in hearing from you, especially if you run your church's website, contact me at bigalbasom@hotmail.com Anyway half of the program was on new hardware and gadgets, and the other half on software. Right at the end of the program they did a quick spotlight on this gadget that, to me, makes no sense. They didn't devote a lot of time to it but here's basically what it was. It was like a portable floppy drive with a cord with an rca plug on it. They said it was so you could plug it into a tv and then show video/audio/images on your tv. It sounded great except I kept thinking why a floppy drive? If it had been a zip or jazz then I could see the practical applications, but not floppy. Am I wrong?
