Recently I designed a little bag (1.5x2 inches, not counting fringe - why, oh WHY didn't I take a picture of it??!!) with tiny purple and silver beads, woven in peyote stitch, with a Jewish hamsa symbol in the design. Added a shower of light blue, teal, lavender and purple Swarovski crystals, and a purty neck strap in silver.
Stuck a shiny lump of pewter engraved "b e l i e v e" inside. Sent it to my favorite aunt, who has ovarian cancer and a nasty course of chemo going on. I think it made her feel better, even just for a bit...
I'm now toying with the idea of a netted bag in gunmetal grey beads and pearls. I was walking around last week near Fisherman's Terminal in Seattle, and can't seem to ignore the inspiration.
Curses on my creativity for making the bead store rich and me poor :)
