Ballmer and the two idiots he sees as his top engineers (Gates and some other guy) say that making Windows modular is impossible because it means that they will have to make millions and millions of versions of Windows. So in M$'s twisted mind, it would be more economical (for M$) to pull Windows then to have to produce millions and millions of versions. When Ballmer was questioned about some XP configurator that M$ produces, he said that it was a program that they make to enable you to install XP programs so that it does what the consumer wants vs. the default install. However, that is configuration, not modularization. WTF?!?! Modularization is that you have a choice of what to install vs. everything being installed for you. As I posted last around midnight last night, I really dislike M$ now.
