my theory is that the color that we call red actually appears to me exactly the way that the color that we call blue appears to you. thus, we all like the same color to each of our own appearances, but we each learned to call it by a different name.
as far as i know, there really is no way to test this theory, because there's no way to get a representation of how a person perceives a color. the only descriptors we have are biased (? not sure if that's really the right word...) by whomever is observing it. if i show a red card, then everyone will call it a red card, even if the real perception of it is different to each person... |
