how are you accessing the server hardware-wise	by Da_Ediot	2002-03-05 11:56:14
ethernet port? wi-fi? modem? is it going through a hub, router, switch, or DHCP connection? XP has an issue just like ME had where if you are connecting through ethernet or wi-fi and the networking protocols are set to assign the IP address automatically it will assign your system to the range 169.254.y.z which is non-routeable. you end up having to assign the IP manually.
