you get to a point that you are severely tired and exhausted. You don't think that you can keep on, but you oush through it. Then you bosy responds by releasing its energy reserves and you have yet another spurt of energy. If you burn through that and push through the next exhaustion barrier, a well trained athelete can actually trigger a third burst. The third wind. However, pushing it that far is dangerous. That's when an athelete can die if they aren't in the top of physical form. Also, it takes a full month to replenish the oxygen reserves used in such an effort.
