As a former EE major myself, I know what you mean. My recommendation, do what you love. There's nothing wrong with switching majors--I switched after three semesters, and have most of my electives filled, but nothing of substance--basically, I had to start over. No biggie, though--I'm much happier where I am. New major: aviation. Right now, I'm working as a flight instructor (blatant self-promotion: anybody in the Oklahoma City area who wants to learn to fly, drop me a note!), and loving every minute of it. Do I regret changing majors? Not a bit. Just be glad you're realizing fairly early--it took me three semesters, three failed classes, and half a case of beer to figure it out (the last one being the most critical...).
