the shell market has taken a dump. Even a free one.

Then there are the security issues. I, for one, am very carefull whom I let on my machines. I had a very good friend demonstrate exactly how easy it is to crack root, even when using shadows, from a shell account.

Personally, I never did see the entertainment value of a CLI. But I don't play games much either. My idea of fun is building some good functioning code and making it do neat things.
