Friends, netizens, UFies, lend me your OPINIONS! by nixit 2006-11-19 12:55:59
search: free *NIX shell accounts

Well, I did a search and found a good list of free shell account providers at the top of the results and plenty more references in the rest of the results. What is missing is a good independant review of shell account providers. What do y'all know of the free shell account providers on the Net? Who have the better features? "Which one is the best?" hehehe (sure to start a little debate) Seriously, though, (*gasp*) which one is your personal favorite and why?

What I am looking for is a good place to play with shell scripts, store and test source code, keep some web pages, save some downloads, play some games, and maybe get involved in (another) fun community.

Thanks, UFies, one and all.

And for those of you who were following the action, z1root, my usual host, likes to take his machines to the bleeding edge, but he doesn't have all the time in the world to play with them, so they're not always usable. Fun as his boxes can be when they're available, I would like to have some stable *NIX access on the net.
