| Actually, I think CmdrTaco's proposal is ver much part of a long tradition in this country of creative, fun proposals. We seem to love the big public wacky proposal in this culture.

I asked Starflower in a quieter way, but I'm still pretty proud of it. Starflower owns hundreds of pairs of earrings, so I had an artist make her a pair of earrings that say "Will you marry me?". I gave them to her over a fancy Italian dinner. She said yes, then we had our picture taken with
Grampa Munster.
