I'm so shy I can't even walk up to some strange girl in a bar and strike up a conversation but a marriage proposal I've always viewd as something that you'd want to do face to face. Just too see the look on her face would be worth it. The getting down on one knee, pulling out the ring, it's all part of it. Not email. To me it just seems really weak. Email was originally meant to share information, not something extreamly personal like this. Cudos to the asking in a public forum but for crying out loud how bloody impersonal. Guess I don't like change. Or maybe I just love tradition.
