The pathetic answer to the pathetic riddle is this:
They're a bunch of numbers I chose more or less at random. Then, as soon as someone came up with a passable suggestion for what the connection might be, I could point at them and shout "Hey, that's it! You're brilliant!"
I guess that was a little too stupidly obvious, really. I knew I shouldn't have tried the same tired stunt that MENSA has been pulling all these years with their mail-in "Is-you-a-genius-or-what?" tests.
But in deference to those who expected a vaguely thought-out answer, here's an alternate possibility:
The main thing all these numbers have in common is that none of them are multiples of 5. To Discordians, who consider the Law of Fives sacrosanct, a deliberate listing of non-5-multiples could be viewed as highly offensive, and possibly even a dark omen fortelling that the end of the world is nearly upon us. Scary, eh? (Now me personally, I prefer the first explanation. Sure it's a disappointing cop out, but at least it wasn't bringing the Apocalypse down on our heads.) |
