Unless it becomes more user-friendly and less technical to operate on a daily basis, it's going to lose ground to another system that's easier to use. For Everyman, its only selling point is cost. Redhat is working to change that, and I really don't think it's a bad thing at all, from Linux's point of view. The same argument can be made for automatic vs. manual transmissions on cars - convenience or control? The vast majority of people choose convenience. |
