because as krupa says a few threads above, Naruki really isn't that bad.
I think s/he mostly does the ripping apart with a decent sense of perspective. In other words, you only get as much as you deserve.
I notice that I have said things like this about Naruki more than once, and I wanted to clear up any misunderstanding.
Naruki used to scare the heck out of me when I was a newbie, but after long term exposure, I am more respectful than scared.
I use his/her presence as a reminder to think before I post.
I know that I will only get abused if I say something I can't back up, especially inflammatory or thoughtless remarks.
Even 'stupid' things only get a modicum of contempt. ;) As long as you are willing to listen to other's opinions, your own are respected here.
adiplomat is also not someone to be afraid of. He's been known to fly off the handle a bit on rare occasions, but doesn't usually go overboard, and has been exactingly careful about his flames in recent months. :)
The thoughts above apply in most cases, and if someone does jump you (or someone else) without cause, or with too much enthusiasm, you'll find these same people backing you up.
