The problem is that aspirin also acts as a blood thinner, and I'm already on 1mg a day of the stuff for that. But If I take too much over that limit it can upset the balance of the other heart meds. I've done that once already and I'm really not prepared for a second round of that!
So I'll stick with the old and tried I think.

Oh, and spirin, in the form of willow bark tea has actually been around for millenia.
