While agree that some part of your translation sounds a bit stupid :-)
I really hate people saying "oooh, this sounds really cool in English!"
For a native English speaker it sounds as normal as (a good) German translation for the German speaker. I'll switch to German now:
"Da geh ich in die Halfpipe und setze ein paar coole Jumps!" hat rein gar nichts mit Fachsprache zu tun (das wären nur die Namen der einzelnen Sprünge), sondern will einfach sagen, dass man gleich ein große Schneerinne runterrutschen wird, und dort mit seinem Sportgerät Sprünge ausführt. Und dass man sich dabei toll/anderen überlegen fühlt. Das war's. Das geht auch in Deutsch: "Wau, ich geh' jetzt in die Schneerinne, und markiere ein paar echt tolle Sprünge!" Inhaltlich hat sich da nix geändert, und den nötigen Schwung und Enthusiasmus kann man so auch rüberbringen. Ich vergleiche es gerne mit dem rauchen: Leute sind *gar nicht* cool, nur weil Sie rauchen. Leute sind nicht toll, nur weil sie ständig unnötigerweise kurzlebige Anglizismen einwerfen!!
