Removable hard drives, you can get those cheap tray thingys that fit in a 5 1/2 inch bay, there like 20 bucks. Then all you'd need is an old hard drive 1-4GB range and and gust plug unplug your removable HDD works real great with raid and good for moving really big files.
 
A friend and I did that to 5 computers he was using for developing some security/ login software for public acces computers that used a memory card/reader to to allow a user to buy time on the computer and everytime he used to computer the software would subtract the time used from the card..kinda like a phone card...

Of course that would be a pain in the arse if you have to transfer data between a lot of different boxes
