Why zip??? Cd-r or Cd-rw is alot cheaper ....	by Halcyon	2002-01-25 21:02:43
and faster as well as larger storage capacity, more widly used (everyone got a cd-rom) and work really well with Linux...ie GNome Toaster.... Zip was fine a few years ago but nowadays thats what networks are for and if a network isnt available I use cd-r's they cost less that a dollar if you get them in spindles whereas a 100 meg zip disk is like $15 around here.... And btw I think USB sucks for most applications with the exception of digital cammeras, webcams and the like (I even use a usb to ps/2 adapter for my trackball)...c'mon people whatever happened to scsi???
