"it's mostly teenagers that are difficult to handle" I've yet to reach the stage of having to deal with a teenage son (another two years and a few months...), but I always remember a quote, I believe from Robin Williams: "It's no wonder kids are confused! You spend the first five years teaching them how to walk and talk, then the next thirteen shouting 'Sit down and shut up!!'"
